daddy diaper head

"Daddy Diaper Head" pampering himself one evening for Avery's viewing pleasure:

Avery was helping Brent with the laundry one evening. She liked pulling the wet clothes out of the drier. Maybe one day she'll want us to dry the clothes before pulling them out to play with!

Taken Too Literally

I guess I can't blame Avery too much. She was only following the book's directions...

Uh oh...

Yesterday I sat Avery in the living room while I went into the kitchen to wash a few dishes. Literally 2 minutes later I look into the living room and Avery has plucked out half of the tissues from the tissue box!! She took them out one-by-one SUPER fast.

I'm in Spring cleaning mode right now. It's fun for Avery because she LOVES helping me go through stuff. Well, she empties stuff out onto the floor for easier access :-) Here she is showing off her standing skills.

More Painting

Here's bathroom #2 I painted. It's the downstairs half-bath. I painted it the same color as the upstairs one.. "grant beige."

I was SO glad to see the markings on the wall from the condo's former tenant gone! I also patched up a small hole at the top of the outlet cover. I'm so glad it's all done!

Silly Faces and Silly Places

This is obviously her silly face of the day.

And this is the silly place she "cruised" to, wedging herself between the two pillows I had strategically placed to prevent her from getting stuck in that very spot. She managed to get in and out just fine. I guess it was time to read about penguins!

10 mo.

Avery's 10 months old!

And to refresh.. here she is at 9 months:

I love wisteria. It's everywhere in Chesapeake! It's hard to get a picture of it because taking a photo while driving is not something I wanna try! I've even seen some white wisteria down Cedar Rd. Here's the one shot I have stopped to take right at Great Bridge Blvd. and Dominion.

Pictures for a certain person!

One of my faithful blog readers loves flowers... so I'm posting this just for her! These flowers were given to mom at school from a teacher and I got to take them home since mom was about to leave for Minot, ND.

I love you, Aunt Pam!

I thought this was cool

I just realized that I took a picture of Avery the other day that is so much like one I had taken back in December. I thought it was cool! There is a 4-month age difference between the first and second picture (~6 months old and ~10 months old).

One week

It's been one week since I've posted... whew, time flies.

I must give credit to my Dad for these photos! My parents came over for a visit last Saturday. We went to lunch at Gotti's Grinders and hung out at our house for the afternoon. I love this polka dotted dress mom got for Avery.

The weather was so nice last weekend. We went over to City View Park with Travis, Kennan, and Addy to enjoy some fresh air.

One weekend we were over at the Otte's and Avery fell in love with Addy's large bouncy ball. I found one for Avery at Target yesterday, and let me tell you... she can't get enough of it!

Now that Avery is crawling, she often does this:

I just love it! Her little hands pawing at my legs is so cute. She's actually standing up in this picture.

We've been keeping quite busy lately. Brent & I tried to take Avery to the oceanfront last weekend for a stroller ride, but by the time we got down there, it was super windy and the temperature had dropped 10 degrees. It was much too cold for a walk. We ended up walking around Lynnhaven Mall instead. On the way home we stopped by church to watch the final volleyball game. It was too bad Brent's team didn't make it! I think they did great despite a few of the players either being gone or hurt during the last few weeks. OH, and Brent got "most improved player" for his team. Yay! I suppose all of Brent's practice playing with Avery and the volleyball in the evenings paid off!

Fearless Friday

Avery and I went to the park this afternoon to enjoy the beautiful weather and sunshine. It was great! We camped out in the middle of a field and Avery spent the whole time standing up in front of the stroller. She loved it. Standing is what she's into these days... against bookcases, windows, drawers, chairs, her highchair, the coffee table, and even walls- if it's vertical Avery will try to stand up against it. She's pretty fearless right now. I hope she will soon learn how to get down from standing safely! Right now she'll usually just turn towards me and let go!

A few birds...

More standing...

The sky was gorgeous!
